How To Tone Your Legs – 3 Simple Exercises For Thinner and Shapelier Legs

If you’re looking to have thinner and shapelier legs, this article is for you. In this article, I will share 3 simple and effective exercises to tone your legs. These exercises can be done at home or in the gym, with or without equipment, so there’s no reason not to make them a part of your regular workout routine.

Exercise #1 – Lunge

This is an excellent exercise for toning the thighs and butt. To do the lunge, you begin by standing straight with your legs close together. Take a step forward with your right leg and lower your body straight down, bending both knees. You descend until your thigh and calf form a 90 degree angle between them. Any more and you will exert too much tension on your knee. Return to the starting position and repeat with the left leg. Alternate between legs for one complete set.

Exercise #2 – Calf raises

To tone your legs, and primarily your calves, and look great in a knee length dress, you should do calf raises. These are very easy to do. You need to stand straight with your feet slightly apart. Rise up on tiptoes. Lower your heels toward the floor without them touching it and rise again, feeling the tension in your calves. Repeat for a complete set.
You can also do one legged calf raises or do this exercise while standing on a stair. This will increase the intensity of the exercise.

Exercise #3 – Bridges

This is an excellent exercise to tone the butt. To do a bridge, all you need to do is lie on the floor or a workout mat. Bend both knees and press a small ball or pillow between your knees. Raise your butt and lower back off the floor and clench your butt muscles. Feel the muscles contract.
Do these 3 exercises and you will have toner and firmer legs.
